Alter Table with Bit(2)

Currently if you have a column that is 2 bits, if you alter that column on the table, to change the default from lets say '00' to '01' the sql generated changes BIT(2) to BIT. Also in the column definition you are not able to sepecify a length of the BIT column

I have also had problems with Toad and BIT typed columns with a specified length.
The BIT type has changed somewhat reasonably through MySQL releases. I don't think that Toad considers this properly.
