Spreadsheet export

I just exported a result grid to Excel only to find all the bit(1) column display the opposite value of what I expected in the spreadsheet.
If the bit(1) field is set (displays with a checked box in the result grid), I would expect a value of TRUE in the spreadsheet and FALSE if not checked. I am getting the exact opposite.
Is this the intended design? or is this a bug?
Thank you,
Chris

Chris,
This is a problem with a third-party package that we use to perform our exports to Excel. There is a work-around for it. Try exporting to a running instance of Excel.
