Toad for MySQL (Win 7) - Trouble connecting (when other tools connect fine)

I can connect to my db instance from the same Win7 machine using ODBC driver and HeidiSQL, but Toad (which I love!) gives me this error. I increased the timeout time to 30 sec, but the error seems to arrive before that time elapses.

My first suggestion would be to try the 6.0 beta (We are really close to release so it is very stable at this point).

Thanks for the quick response. I'm now running the beta 6.0 version and still get a similar error (even after increasing timeout to 60 sec -- the error kicks off much before I get to even 30 sec though)

Also, I did a packet sniff, and the last packet that the MySQL server sent was a "Server Greeting proto=10 Version=4.1.22". After that the client should send a login request, but I never saw that packet.
Just to confirm, is that version of MySQL supported? It's running off of a Linux NSLU2 Linksys device, so it may not be your "typical" install. Again, I was able to connect to it with other tools though.
Thanks so much!

Judging from the response packet captured, 4.1.22

I've made a slight tweak that I think should fix your issue. It will be in the next beta drop.
