Hi, as this is my first post first I want to say a BIG THANK YOU to the Toad World Dominators that Toad for MySQL is a free tool!
OK, let´s get to the point, I have, of course, several question, feature requests and maybe bug reports, as I did not find a link to a decent bugtracker I assume this is the place to post such things? Would be really much better to have a bugtracker for these kind of things...
My first feature request: I was totally wondering, why there is no GIT support - the integration of version control is really great, but hey, we are in 2011, where have you been? Git is the way to go, at least there is no way back, if you once started working with git - it would be really nice if toad developers could consider integrating git asap!
Another one: please stop loading Internet Explorer automatically! This is not only a major annoyance, it is a security risk - I can not understand, how developers still using internet explorer nowadays in times of drive-by infections are widely spread. Please never ever build tools, that startup internet explorer withou at least ASKING before doing it.

In regards to Git I love it too, but I wouldn't hold my breath for us to add support for it unfortunately. Version control doesn't seem to be a feature that a lot of users are using and because of that it is very low priority for us here.
Secondly there is no realistic alternative to using IE since we need an integrated browser. The only other option would be to embed our own WebKit based browser but that would be way more insecure since then we would be responsible for updating security flaws discovered (While now this is handled by Windows Update).
That said there really is no security risk here since the page opened by default is entirely under Quest control and since you already trust us enough to install a binary and run it on your machine anything we could do through a web page has already been done to you  . Also you can turn off the start up screen in the first page of the options.
Showing this page on startup is unlikely to change and one of the reasons that we can have this application a freeware is that we have this page to show us possible other Quest offerings that might be of interest to you.

I'm ok with IE but it's much less functional than the normal IE program, for example, I can't find a way to change text size or zoom level...
