Editor Code Highlights with Newlines Between Quotes

Hi. If I have a statement in the editor like so --
INSERT INTO database SET description = "This is a description...
...on two lines for added suspense.";
-- it inserts as expected, but the editor highlights the additional line(s) as code, rather than a single string between quotes that contains newlines.
And I do not see an existing option that might remedy this for my use.
Also I tried to indent the statement here, but it failed in the actual post.
