Hi, I am very new to MySQL, I am an Oracle DBA and trying to learn, anyway.... I am using toad for MySQL version 6.0.1.1723. When I connect to mysql using a tcp connection it works fine as I authenticate using the dblogin, however when I try to connect using an ssh connection it always gives me the user could not be authenticated and I cannot understand what I am doing wrong as I use the dblogin for the database connection and the osuser for the ssh connection(which I know is correct as I connect to the os all the time). Also this is a windows 7 64bit connecting to a linux redHat 4.1.2-50. Can anyone please help me? I have to get this implemented using ssh connections for security mandates.
