Connecting to Amazon RDS

I've set up my connection to Amazon's RDS to the best of my ablility through your blog posting but still can't get it to work. I selected TCP then added my host name, DB name and passwords with the right password to the main login. The message I get is this:
Unable to connect to any of the specified MySQL hosts.
Is there something that I've done wrong?
