Any absolute beginners tutorials for Toad for MySQL

I was wondering if there are any tutorials available for an absolute beginner in Toad and for that matter SQL?  I've tried to find some but I'm coming up with nothing.  Oh yeah, when I mean beginner, I mean I have never touched SQL before in my life.  I'm a programmer by trade (RPG, CL, COBOL, C, C++, Visual C++, etc..).  I know about 12 different languages, I've managed to stay away from DB programming because it's not my bag of chips.  But I would like to know.  Thanks in advance.
