Delays: New Connection Execution Delays, Sluggish Typing & Scrolling

I've held off on posting these as I haven't figured out the exact way to reproduce the bugs. But in case someone else is experiencing similar problems with 6.7.0.883:
1.When I make a new connection alongside an existing one, it takes a few minutes before queries to that new connection (say in a new tab) start working. It doesn't work instantly, in any case.
2. After a while, typing and scrolling in the editor slows down to a crawl (words appear noticeably after I type them, and scrolling is "difficult"). Sometimes it subsequently speeds up a little again, butit never gets back to the normal input speed of a new Toad session. I have to close and reopen Toad to restore the keyboard input speed.
Again, sorry for the vague description, but the bugs occur consistently even if I can't figure out what exactly triggers them.

Small update on issue #2 above: curiously the typing delay, when it strikes, is worse at the top of the editor rather than at the bottom. So for example if I hold down the "a" key on the first line of a tab for 5 secs I get 36 "a"s in a row. Holding down the same key on line 670 results in 72 "a"s instead, literally twice as fast as on top.
Compare this with ~130 "a"s if I hold down the key in a brand new instance and editor tab of Toad for MySQL.
